Downtown Macon boasts 32 retailers, 52 restaurants, 6 art galleries, 33 bars and entertainment venues, and 5 historic theaters. All are locally owned and operated.

When you shop local, you're supporting your fellow community members. For every $100 spent with a locally owned business, $68 stays in the community. Purchasing a record at your local vinyl shop, a pair of shoes at your neighborhood boutique, or a burger at or your favorite dive is tiny investment in your community and offers a completely unique experience.

This year, we are excited to partner with the Macon City Auditorium to offer a Shop Small Headquarters! Swing by the Macon City Auditorium between 11am and 4pm and visit NewTown Macon to pick up Shop Small Saturday swag and learn how you can support downtown businesses.

In addition to the Shop Small Headquarters, the Macon City Auditorium is hosting their first ever Wine + Pine event. Enjoy wreath-making workshops, wine flights, pop-up vendors, arts and crafts, and free gift wrapping! It's the perfect way to kick off the holiday season and shop local.
